Learning Doing Sharing
Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skill. Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork
IS ART IMPORTANT?
It is so much more than "fun"!
Art teaches us many essential skills. How to be a problem-solver and a maker, how to become handy and use tools and materials. Art teaches us how to look closely and observe. Art teaches us how to share materials and ideas and collaborate. It teaches us to work toward goals and persist. It also teaches us how to express ourselves and respect the expressions of others.

WHO IS AN ARTIST?
“When the artist is alive in any person, whatever his kind of work may be, he becomes an inventive, searching, daring, self-expressive creature. He becomes interesting to other people. He disturbs, upsets, enlightens, and opens ways for better understanding. Where those who are not artists are trying to close the book, he opens it and shows there are still more pages possible.”
